Biography

Dr Adnan Balloch was awarded full PhD funding from Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, after securing highest marks in the national aptitude examination in the province. He completed PhD in Accounting and Finance in April 2015 from Durham University Business School. His PhD thesis, titled ‘Essays in Household Finance’, won the Best Thesis Award in Durham University Business School Summer Congregation 2015. Before joining Abersytwyth Univeristy, Dr Adnan Balloch served Financial Advisory and Consulting department of Deloitte as a consultant. He lead/supported corporate finance teams in advisory, transaction and consulting projects for international corporations and institutions. Some of his clients include The World Bank and Sinoma International Engineering, China.

Prior to Deloitte, Dr Adnan Balloch taught postgraduate and undergraduate courses in Durham University Business School. Additionally, he has recently published paper in four start journal, and is completing research articles, aimed to be published in top tier journals in finance. Furthermore, he started industrial collaboration, aimed to improve predictive modeling of human behaviour, with data scientists at Quarrio, USA to make an impact in industry and society through his research.
